Set in the 1980’s, an aspiring martial artist loses everything, his job, his expected child, and his wife, when he is imprisoned for murder of a man who deliberately killed a cat. He is jailed for eight years and released after five on parole. His effort to re-establish some normality is thwarted when his past shadows him in the shape of enemies he made in prison. His daughter’s dog is missing and thought to be stolen for dog fighting. His quest to find the dog leads him into the cruel world of canine combat.
